Death in the Family
This is probably my first comic that is not just a joke-a-ro. There is serious stuff happening. Serious! I won't say that there aren't some darkly humorous things happening but it is pretty existential.

20 Phylacteries
Comics from Brennan:
NOW WITH WORD BUBBLES!
Greatest invention since actually talking to people.
All the conversation, none of the nerve-wracking human interaction

Seven Deadly Sins
I enjoyed making this comic because it really let me flex my character design muscles. I also enjoy being able to do vignettes as opposed to a singular narrative. It's not that I have any issues with that in particular, but I love being able to mess around with different narrative styles and techniques.

Anthology Comic
We decided on Strange Occurrences as a theme, and this is what I made for it... The Sand Hog
This is my second comics using g-pens, after the bike one. I really pushed the pen work with all the line work and hatching. I also love this one because I really gave every panel an environment, even if it became more supernatural then realistic at the end.
Bikes and Beverages II: Beer Mountain
My last post was a scene-to-scene comic, this assignment was to expand it.
Here is the new page:
If you missed the last one, here is the complete form
I really enjoyed doing this because I didn't have a very strong narrative to begin with. It was more thematic than narrative, so "expanding it" was a challenge. I love taking left turns in stories and surprising people so I subverted the message of the last one (maturing over time) with just about the opposite (this guy is the world's most ambitious alcoholic).
